I believe ...

I am devoted to creating a safe, non-judgmental and accepting space in which clients can let go of constantly trying to “fix” themselves, redefine success, and create a sustainable lifestyle that is rooted in acceptance.

    I believe that freedom from food and a life without dieting is a possibility for every person and something that is deserved simply for being human.

    I believe that dieting for weight loss does not work in the long run and that factors determining body size are complex.

    I believe that using a scale as a measure of success and trying to change ones body from a place of shame and self-loathing does not work. 

    I believe in supporting behavior change for the sake of health and well-being rather than weight control, and that the most effective and sustainable way to create a healthy lifestyle is to move away from focusing on weight, and towards other markers of wellbeing.

    I believe that health looks like many different shapes, sizes and lifestyles.  

    I believe that health is not a moral issue, and our personal choices about how we chose to pursue our health are not up for judgment.
